I have Android 4.2.2 with internal memory. I want to transfer a couple of songs (not more than 10 mb) to my phone, but I can't find where to put the mp3s. I also don't know how to set music players (default or vlc) to use internal memory instead of SD.

Can someone tell me where the default music folder is, if I have to make it and where to put it, and how to change the default memory location for music?

Thanks

It depends on what device you have. I have an LG Optimus F3 and my internal music folder is in /storage/sdcard0.

Usually, the default music folder is Music, on your SD card. You can also create a new folder to save the songs you import. Just Mount your Android phone on computer with a USB cable. After connected, open your Android phone > Phone (SD card). Then, find the Music folder or create one

It actually doesn't matter. You can make a folder and call it "Music", and the phone should detect them wherever they are.
