I completely messed up when syncing my music files to my htc one x and as a result I have no idea which songs I have and which songs have been duplicated, so I decided to delete every single song and just re-sync all of my songs, but I cant delete multiple songs and have to delete them one by one, which is very very irritating and time costly as I have over 400 songs. I have tried using various 'file manager' apps and they seem to delete the file content but when I go to my music it all still shows up, just nothing plays. Is there any way in which I can delete all of my songs in one go ? I would be very grateful if anyone can help me with this matter. Thanks :)

Delete the folder where the music is stored in your phone, if you know the location. It should be on the phone storage which you can access via USB connection to your computer. Hope this helps.

As Ajeet mentioned, plug the phone into your PC and browse to the Music folder. That's where music files should be.

As for the Music app keeping the files, CD artwork, etc. , try clearing the cache of the Music app (or alternatively, re-start the phone). That should take care of it.

Was having the same problem on my HOX+ and found a fix:

1) Go to Settings --> Storage --> Make more space. Hit "Next", then choose "Music," then "Select All Music" at the top and hit delete. Will take a little bit, then all will be cleared!

I just did this after syncing like half my music through the awful HTC Sync Manager for my Mac. I'm now using Google Play Music to sync playlists for offline listening, which will keep them on my storage. A much easier option, considering I can just change things in iTunes (which I use to manage music on my home Mac Mini), and hopefully it will stay synced with Google Music (and thus my HOX+).

Hope this helps!
