Help Music on ext_sdcard

hi all,
I cant get my phone to recognize the music on my sd card using the default music app. i tried to place it on the internal sd card, and downloaded the SDRescan app, to no avail. any help is greatly appreciated.

Restart your phone and give it a little time to scan the card and try again

that doesnt work. i wound up syncing my phone with windows media player and all is good.

Make a music folder and put it on your sd card. Then go to storage and select the option to use the sd card instead of the internal.
