To help, we need some more information:
What format are the files?
Are they DRM protected?
Where are the files originally from?
What app are you trying/have you tried to play them with?
The issue is probably that the app you have cannot play the particular file format. There is an app you could try called VLC (playstore) which will play almost all audio formats.
