Help Music Playback Issue

I have an HTC Evo 4G LTE and recently have noticed that when playing songs through the factory installed music player, there is a second of static in between songs. This doesn't happen when playing music through a podcast player, only the Music app that comes with the song. My music is stored on my SD card. I think I've had this issue before but don't recall the solution. It's a short "chkkk" sound once the song has ended and before the next begins. Occasionally I hear the sound when a song is playing but more frequently between tracks. Anyone else encounter this problem?

what do you mean by "only the music app that came with the song" ?

and if you noticed it before, how long ago?

can you replicate this at will at any song?

are you rooted?

what carrier?

does it occur over BT? wired? wireless headphones?

do you have a 3rd party music player? does it occur on that player as well?

if you dont have a 3rd party player, worth a shot do download one to test things out.
