Music player pics up bird song files

I have birds of britain installed which has images and audio files for all the UK bird species. Unfortunately the birdsong MP3s get picked up bt the music player so I get the call of an owl between 2 tracks.
How can I hide the folder where the birdsong is stored from the music player?

What I did was create a folder and call it Mp3 then put all my songs In it, then I created a folder called 'odd music' then I put all sounds other than music into it. I don't use music player as I have bought power amp app, but with power amp you can decide what folder for it to play files from.

have you tried creating a file called .nomedia in the folder that this app stores its mp3's?

Open Poweramp then
Menu>Settings>Folders and Library>Music Folders.
Give it a couple of seconds to scan your phone.
When the list is built you can expand all the folders and select exactly from where you do and do not want to play files.

I got it from the app store as a package.
