Music Player

It depends what you want it to do. Even with the paid apps I struggled to find one that ticked all the boxes but the best free app in my opinion would be WinAmp because I think it's the only one that supports gapless play. I'd put DoubleTwist second although it can't list songs by genre and third would be SongBird which does do genre but suffers a little on its interface.

I would recommend trying these and any others you find. Only you can answer the question for yourself because it is so subjective... but it is harder to answer if you ask about paid apps :D
 
I like Cubed (superscript "3"), it has the best visual interface for a touch screen.
 
The best music player could be the VLC player. It is compatible for playing any type of media files (all types of file formats).
 
Neutron is too complex for the average listener.
You must be a true audiophile to even understand most of the settings it has.
Its an awesome machine.
