Music player

I've noticed that the only app on this phone that allows me to play my music is the Google play music app... I'd like to use a third party music app because I'm not very fond of the play music app. I tried double twist (used it on other phones and I like it) but the first time I opened it, it caused my phone to constantly reboot. I had to boot into recovery and factory reset. The second time I tried it, the phone rebooted and I got it un installed before it started a boot loop again.

I'd like a music player that's fairly simple, doesn't lag, and of course won't cause my phone to do something wonky. I'm a little gun shy of trying a new one now that I had problems with doubletwist... So anyone have any luck with this so far?

This is concerning as I have DoubleTwist installed on my phone and am experiencing no issues with it.

Hmm... Well that makes me wonder what the problem is even more... Lol. I would try again but after having the problem twice I'd rather not

I was in the same boat as the OP - not real fond of the stock music player. I tried a couple and liked PlayerPro the most. So much so that I sprung for the full app. One thing though - it uses a lot more battery than streaming music, I noticed. I stream mostly through Rhapsody and was quite startled at how much more PlayerPro used. Probably because I was playing around a lot with the equalizer settings. Since most of the music I play through PlayerPro is my own, old ripped CDs, they require some heavy equalization to get the most out of them.

But hey, what the hell do I care about battery - I've got a Maxx!
