music player?

I downloaded the Android Music Player for my Razr Maxx HD. This has the same problem as the stock music player that came with my Droid X. It randomly launches itself every time I turn on the Bluetooth in my car. Researching these forums I found a number of people reporting this problem running the music player from their phones. I also wasn't able to find a way to actually turn it off once it started (there must have been a way but it wasn't obvious). There seems to be no way to prevent it from starting up by itself except to get rid of it, which I did.

I'm looking for recommendations for a player that won't randomly start and take over your device and has better -- or more obvious -- controls.
Thanks!

I was frustrated with the stock music player on my Samsung GN2, running ICS 4.1 as it stops playing when you press the phone center button to get to the desktop, has no file browser and makes stupid automated playlists (in my case it was taking tracks from my audio books and mixing them together with music tracks, lol), doesn't seem to have a way to "play all" content in a previously constructed list, doesn't resume the play after a phone call etc, etc, etc. Basically the dumbest media software I have ever come across. There might be ways to solve some or all of these issues, but if there are, they certainly are not intuitive.

I read a few online reviews for android media players and stumbled upon the n7 2.0 player which was regarded highly. It has solved all of my above issues. For example, I can go to my already constructed in windows music playlists in its own internal file browser, then it will play all the content in those lists, in order, by default. It also has the usual stuff you find in WMP Desktop, such as shuffle, repeat (track or list), fine-grained album cover download, etc. I'm not sure if it's the best media player out there, but it's meeting my needs. You might want to give it a try to see if it has solved the issue you are having.

I'm currently developing a different kind of music app called Music Player (Remix) which is in public beta (very close to release). You can find it here: Music Player (Remix) - Public beta is now open! - Page 5 - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com

It has a fun, intuitive user interface and a ton of features many of which you won't find in any other music app.

And yes it does resume play after a phone call...but only if you haven't pulled out your headphones since starting the phone call. So imagine you're listening to music on your headphones and a call comes in. You unplug the headphones and take the call. You hang up and it resumes playback at full volume disturbing everyone around you! Remix keeps track of headphone state and will only resume playback if you were either unplugged before the call or you're plugged in after the call.

I went to that page but I can't figure out how to download it.
