Music Properties

I have only just noticed this but I can't amend properties in my music files on phone or SD through my PC. I am sure I used to be able to but I can't now. Is there another setting I need to enable on phone to be able to do this? I have tried in file explorer and in Media Go and I am unable to amend anything apart from track title.
Also, this may be unrelated as I guess its something to do with the id3 tags but some of my music is called one thing in windows explorer (with all correct album name, artist, track title etc. Then I look on the phone and it will be something completely random. Any thoughts?

I have seen on another forum that it is because of the restriction on the KitKat update for SD card. Does the HandleExtrnalStorage app I have off Xposed not fix this if it is the case?
