music randomly starts playing after call

I was navigating and switched over to a phone call, was plugged into my car charger and tape deck adapter to the car stereo. When the call ended, some music from my music folder started playing randomly, and just skipping around and repeating short sections of some songs... like the phone was possessed. I can't remember what I did to stop it. And this was after a clean reboot and I dont play music from my phone often... I'm on 4.0.4 stock/rooted.

May be there was something touching the screen and with the vibration of the car, this caused a monkey random touching commands of the device.

This happened to me all the time. I listen to music with the GNex in sleep mode in my pants pocket. Sometimes the street gets noisy, I needed to increase the volume. Unfortunately, the volume button wakes up the phone and the walking movement causes all kinds of random commands by the rubbing of the screen against the pants. I'm using stock JB 4.11.

It is unbelievable that such a design mistake has been overlooked by Google and Samsung. I wonder if their QA Teams ever played music on their phone.

The weird thing is that the hone was mounted on my car stand. The only touching of the screen was to interact with google navigation and to answer the phone call, and to insert/remove the speaker cable to the stereo (which has something to do with triggering the music)... but I was never listening to music on the phone, at least for a month or so... plus plenty of clean reboots and charge cycles since then... and the random skipping/looping of the music... weird!

I had something similar happened that made me think my phone was possessed.
I'm walking around and I hear music coming and eventually realized it was coming out of my pants where my GN was.

Eventually, I figured out that it was because of my ICS music player which has gestures. For whatever reason when I had the settings on sensitive it would play randomly even though I would go in and force stopped the app. Sometimes this would happen days after I had stopped listening to the music.

thats weird too... but I've never used gestures, and can't remember setting any options on them. Plus, the phone wasn't in my pocket; it was mounted on my car dashboard. It seemed to have something to do with putting in and taking out and putting back int the audio out cable, and taking a call while navigating. But again, the music didn't play normally... it was skipping randomly between songs (different artists and albums), and was sort of looping short sections of each song seemingly and skipping between different places in the songs...

If I can recreate it, I'll post again... could have been just a random bug, i dunno. I've definitely had the phone wig out a few times.
