music skip

When playing music my phone will skip every four to five seconds.

I have tried the standard music player, doubletwist and winamp and this does not fix it.

This does not happen all the time and rebooting solves the problem. I have yet to find the trigger for this.

Any ideas?

What phone do you have? Have you tried PowerAmp?
