Help Music skips when playing, google play and power amp??

I got my S3 over the weekend and I didn't listen to music until today and I noticed that every couple of minutes my music skips. It pauses for half a second at random times. I have my music saved on my sd card, do you think its the sd card that is damaged or is it the phone that is slowing down and skipping my music? Or perhaps the headset or headphone jack? Has anyone else experienced this?
 
Is it every track, every couple of minutes? If so, put the music on the internal memory and test. If the issue continues, its not your sd card
