Help Music stopped working!

Hi everyone,

Just recently I have started to experience some problems playing music on my N4.

When using Google Play Music I get a message "Music temporarily unavailable. Couldn't play the stream that you requested."

This happens on wi-fi or mobile data, yet my laptop and N7 both play normally on the same wifi network.

Turning on the N4's wifi hotspot feature, then connecting lappy or N7 to it, both work no problem.

On further investigation, it seems there is also a problem with Soundcloud, YouTube and BBC iPlayer Radio.

This is very odd. Have you tried rebooting your phone to see if that helps?

You could also try clearing the cache - Settings>Storage then tap on "Cached data".

Yes, I have re-booted, cleared cache to no avail.

Doing a factory reset now....

That's the last resort action I would have suggested. A bit drastic but it should do the trick.

Well, fingers crossed, it seems hunky dory so far....

Pain in the proverbial though, fingers crossed I won't need to do it again...

Might be a little late, but mine does this every once in a while... usually clearing data on Play Music app, then restarting the phone, and resyncing the library clears up this problem.
