Music Sync problem

Hello

Found myself on this forum having googled problem - looks like a great place for all things android. Just got my phone - it's all shiny new - generally set up going well although two problems so far:-
can't get any music form Windows Media Player (XP operating system) into the phone (PC says its synced but there is nothing there). secondly can't get SMTP server to connect for outgoing mail - the incoming one seems ok so the passwords are correct but don't know if this is a phone or servic provider problem.

Any help from the experts very welcome

Hello and welcome to Android Forums. I can't say about the sync problem. I just picked and chose the tunes I wanted from my library and copied them into a folder on my SD card called Music. I've never tried to sync libraries. As for your pop mail.... it's not the phone and a setting you aren't quite satisfying in the setup. If you have that account set up on your pc or a laptop you need to closely look at those settings. It's likely a port problem or it's a secured login or something similar. Once you mirror those settings, all should be fine. Congrats on the new phone. I hope it serves you well and these forums help you to get the max enjoyment from it.
