i am lookin for a free music/video player poweramp isnt free i dont think or is it the poweramp widget i need?

PowerAmp is not free. The app has a 15 day trial. The widget pack you see are just widgets that won't work without the app. Its on the Market so that people can have widgets even if they move the app to the sd card.

For best free apps, I'd say 3 (cubed), winamp (looks horrible IMO though) and MixZing.
