Not much unless you have the persistent mode enabled

I really like the improvement I can get in sound quality. The issue I seem to be having is keeping the effect running while using Play Music. It just seems to turn off while playing music. I think I can work around by leaving the Viper config screen active while playing music, but that is somewhat annoying.

^I've noticed this with any sound plugin, even noozxoide. If the icon isn't showing at the top the plugin will start and stop constantly. I think it has to do with the same problem that we can't keep GPS apps or music apps running the whole time under certain circumstances.
