Help My Account update

For some reason, I got this stupid "My account update: checking for new software available now" Box in the middle of my phone. And its just sitting there spinning. Backing out will shut it up for about 90 seconds then its back. !?

Hey, ajdroidx, well, I'm not sure about the answer to your question, but you're certainly not the only one that's reported this (a Google search reveals many instances, some a while back), across all kinds of devices (http://androidforums.com/htc-rezound/414286-rezound-ics-speculation-thread-14.html for example (I wonder if that's an HTC-specific message?)).

Have you tried it with using just a wi-fi connection or with just 3G/4G?

And its doing it again! It stopped for about 20 minutes.
I just rooted, unlocked the bootloader and rooted again. I am on wifi. Went the whole day with out doing this. It just started after the root and unlock.

I am on 4.0.3

I did disable a few apps (yellow pages, twitter, facebook) crap I don't use but not with titanium.

The problem seems to rectified (for now?) as it popped up once again after a reboot and I just left it alone. It gave me a message about 5 minutes later about the server not responding.

It could have been that I kept interupting the update process.
