my add button is not working.

I'M trying to add a widget but when i go to the menu button the add is there but does not let me click on it. It's not live. Can someone help me.

Its a LG Optimus V

Have you tried long-pressing on the screen to see if the menu pops up to add a widget?

Have you rooted your phone? Have you frozen or Uninstalled any bloatware that came on the phone?

When i go click on applications> then click on manage applications it shows up there. So how do i get it on my home screen. When i click on the app it just shows to
Force stop
Unistall or clear data,clear cache.

i don't see it any where else
