Congratulations! I read some of the article and it sounds really interesting. BTW, the NW sucks this time of year, constant rain! You must have visited at a good time of the year, the rain is just starting now.

Thanks, I guess I got super lucky as it was warm and balmy the entire time. It is a real nice area. Living in Syracuse NY, Cold, snowy , and cloudy is unfortunately at times, common as well. I was very happy to have won the People's Choice as it was my first time ever "pitching" my idea in front of a large audience. It was also nice at this conference to meet other some other contributors and get some direction for my little app. There were some other neat concepts presented. One idea that was also presented there won the overall Global Competition . It uses a Heads Up Display on your windshield projecting a red line on your glass. You follow the string along for your directions as opposed to getting verbal commands. (Think of the string like the painted white line along the side of the road that you follow except it is projected above your normal sight line.) If it goes commercial you would expect to find it first on high end luxury cars. I could definitely see it working as it has some advantages over verbal commands and having to glance at a GPS screen.
