My backup pro restoring files???

Moomeh

Lurker
I have an HTC Desire Z. Before I start, I'd just like to say- i am NOT good with technical computer/phone stuff!! Okay. So my phone was having problems and my boyfriend recommended using My Backup Pro to backup my files so that I could restore them when I got my phone back. Files as in APKs. So I backed up my data and my applications, took my SD card and everything out and sent my phone on its way. When I got my phone back, I reinstalled my backup pro and tried to retore my applications. It said that no files existed. But on the free version of MBU Pro, it could find the files.. weird. My homescreen and data stuff all restored perfectly but it still could not find the applications backup folder.
So I opened my phones files up on my computer and looked in the reware folder- my backup from may was in there, but not in a ZIP folder. So I thought the app needs to recognise it's a ZIP folder to unzip, right? I used 7zip to zip it (but I think the folder just ended up in a ZIP fodler instead of the actual folder being ZIP'd :S ). Now it's finding the backup folder and looks like it's resatoring but saying:

Error: /mnt/sdcard/rerware/MyBackup/temp/AppsMedia_2012_05_11/Apps (Not a directory)

Help me pleeeease I've run out of ideas <_>

There are no zip folders. There are zip files, which may be in a folder.

Not sure what went wrong. MyBackup Pro has worked well for me for years. Also not sure just what you did trying to fix things. But at this point the best fix is probably to just re-download your apps. Won't take very long.
