Root My battery is acting weird

Been running Kings Unleashed R2 for a couple of weeks, working great with toastmod 4.3.1. 24 hours easy on a single charge. Tonight I tried Destroyer, wiped everything 3 times then flashed Calkulins format all 3 times, flashed destroyer. 6% battery drop in 8 minutes, bad battery, bad!
So I wiped everything again, same steps as above, restored my latest nandroid. Battery is still draining quick as you know what!:mad: Getting a little frustrated.
My battery was low when I started, but I had it plugged into the usb port. I then plugged it into the wall charger, still no dice. Absolutely driving me crazy!

Latest radios, latest PRL, I downgraded my PRI & NV to 1.77 to get toastmod working like 2 months ago, that was working great. I wonder what I did. I'm going to fully charge over night then see what I get tomorrow. Any suggestions are always welcome!:o

Is your uptime/awake time similar? Try wiping cache/dalvik cache then reboot, and see how your battery acts.

Nope, awake and uptimes are good. Wakelock doesn't show anything either under Spare Parts.

Wiped dalvik and cache just now, I'll post in a little while or tomorrow. Thanks Frenchy.:o

Hopefully it works out for you. Let me know how it does overnight.
 
Well, first thing this morning it was draining again. I wiped cache and dalvik a couple o times, and reflashed toastmod 4.3.1. Seems to be back to normal. I'll run it today and see.

I wonder if having the 1.77 PRI screwed with my Destroyer flash? Very weird.

You'll work it out. That's why I'm a bit reluctant to flash these new ROM's, I want to, badly, but don't want to leave my current setup. I'm running VirusROM RC1 3.29 base, downgraded radio's, NA's 4.1.9.1 cfs more havs no sbc, and I'm on my 3rd day unplugged w/ 19% battery left (that's including major talk time, some browsing, emailing, and texting....I've been using this phone heavy)! I'm afraid if I test one of these ROM's, upgrade my radio's, not like it, and try to go back, my battery won't hold up like it's been :p.
 
I'm back to normal now, thank god! Thanks for the support, I was sweating that drain bad. Kept me up last night. If I screw this phone up my wife will kill me, no joke. She hates it. ;)

PS: Love the new avatar, family is what it's all about! :)

so what was the culprit cause i have the same issue. just flashed the tiamat kernel to see if it helps.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it was the PRI. I didn't think about it until afterwards, but I downgraded my PRI to 1.77. I think I've read you need to have the latest radios, PRI, PRL etc to run cm7.

Once I nandroided back to Kings R2 I needed to wipe cache and dalvik then reflash toastmod. I don't know how, but something crossed over when I nandroided back and messed with my kernel. Only thing I can think of.

I'll probably try again in a little while, I'll research AOSP kernels and flash one when I do flash Destroyer.

yea i really like this rom alot. i flashed the tiamat kernel so we shall see.
