My first one did that, just ended up exchanging it.
There might be a way to odin it, but I've not read up on how to do that stuff quite yet but it should be in the galaxy rom sticky.

Pull the battery , put it back in *press n hold the volume down key n green call button then press the power key* , till you see recovery mode . This will hard_reset your phone , you will be all set after that .
