When someone calls me my phone rings as normal, but recently my boyfriend will call me and he says on his end it will ring twice then go to my voicemail. My phone never even rings when he calls it just says I have a missed call from him. I'm currently using zedge ringtones for his ringtone & thot it could be a problem but i erased my boyfriends contact from my phone, it sitll doesn't work.. I dont' know whats going on and why he is the only phone that can not call me! PLEASE HELP! Or share your common experiences, should i just go to my phone store and ask them if they know?! I hope someone on here will tell me whats up!!! Please and thank you!!!

Boy, it's been a while since I ran stock Eris, but it could be one of these things:

- Do you have an entry in the call log for a call made to you by your boyfriend's phone? If so, and you long-press on that entry, is there a menu option to direct cals straight to voicemail, or blacklist, or something like that? Other Android phones have something like this, but I can't recall if the Eris does.

- You can try calling Verizon Wireless tech support and see if there is something that they can check on their end. Perhaps there is a network setting pushing those calls straight to vm?

- Last, have you tried restarting the phone? Does it change whether calls go straight to vm?

When I long pressed his contact in the call history it didn't give me any options like that. :(
I guess i'll just have to go to verizon and ask them to help me because this doesn't make any sense. I can recieve everyone else's call just fine, and I can recieve his texts fine too, it's just when he calls it goes straight to voicemail and my phone doesn't even bring up the incoming call screen but just the missed call notification. Could it be his phone that is messed up?!

That is a tribute to the stability of the Eris. You didn't even consider rebooting. I run my phones hard and the Eris could go two weeks between reboots. Maybe more. My Droid 1 and my Incredible 2 often require two or three reboots a day.

Glad to help, and thanks for replying back, so we know that it worked! Sometimes it's the simplest things.
