My computer cannot read my phone

G2 X LG phone and I cannot connect to my computer to download anything what am I doing wrong. I have a 32 GB memory-chip
but when I plug it in to the computer it will not recognize a removable desk.

Welcome Jim.

Plug in the phone using the USB cable. Then pull down the notification bar and select USB connection. It will give you the option to mount as storage. The phone will show up as a removable drive.
