my computer wont read my htc incredible s

hi, my htc incredible s used to be able to connect to my laptop, but lately it just charges and wont come up on my phone or laptop, ive tried changing computers but it just does the same thing, and i need to put more music on my phone and transfer photos.

someone please help. xx
