Help My Defy keeps knocking out my router

Lurker
I have searched the net far and wide, done all the suggested things to accomodate for the Defy, but it just keeps on messing up my 3com router.
I have an android tablet which does not mess it up, so it is specifically the Defy settings which make the router crash.
Any suggestions to make the Defy play nice with the router would be very welcome.

Got the same issue - only started about 3 or 4 weeks go, connect to router via wifi and within 4 minutes I have to re boot the router as everything wireless is offline - media server, music streamer, iPad etc. Need to get a fix quick or the Motorola is getting binned.

OK, I have a regular Defy, but found it was most "uncomfortable" when the router was set to "mixed mode". If you don't know, mixed mode allows devices of both G and N capabilities to run on the same router. For instance, in my house my wife's computer can only run off G while everyone else can run on N. But mixed mode is usually a compromise. In my house I set our router to run G (to accommodate my wife's computer) and in my office set it for N. In both cases my Defy connects perfectly (and as a bonus is cleared up bad reception on wifi-calling). Maybe worth a try?
