Help My Desire not atarting

i have HTC Desire phone. some one play with it. Now it is not starting. it can start to BOOT page with pressing Power button with press and hold sound button.
I guess that operating system is deleted.
Please help me to reload a suitable Android operating system in to my Desire.
I am a novice in to this.

Can you tell us any more about what you think happened? And what exactly are the symptoms? Also more about the phone (rooted or not, gsm/cdma, network, software version)?

Unless the phone is rooted and S-Off they won't have been able to do anything to the OS. More likely some corrupted data that stops it booting, unless the hardware has been damaged.

So there's a good chance that a factory reset (clear storage in the hboot menu) will fix it. But if we had more info we might be able to see if there's an alternative.

If even that doesn't work we'll need answers to the earlier questions in order to identify the software you need.
