Help My Desire X doesn't start

Hey. I've had this phone for a few months now. And it worked fine until yesterday.
However, now it wont do anything, it doesnt start, no signal, nothing :/

Here are a few things that might help finding the fix:
-When I connect it to the charger, it does show the orange light telling you its charging.
-When I connect it to the computer, I hear a weird sound. Not the usual sound when you insert a usb. Basically there are 3 similar sounds. But the device wont be recognised.
However, When I hold down the power button on the phone, I do hear the usual sound when you insert a usb. However, the device still doesn't show up.

Anyone got suggestions what I can do?

Thanks!

Check that the battery is ok or hasnt dislodged.
The power on/off button does it seem normal.
If these issues are checked by you and still not the result you want, you have to take it into the service center.

I dont think the battery has disloged. Is there anything I can do to check if battery is fine etc?
And power on/off seems normal :)

The phone will need power to be able to switch on and work.
To check the battery would be the first option.

Yes a battery can go faulty. Not common, but it is known to have happened.

I would check the battery out first. Go to a service agent or cell phone shop to check.
It might be as simple as that.
