Hi,
I've been having some difficulties in attempting to root my Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830). I've tried numerous times flashing the root file via recovery mode which says the root was successful, but it appears that once the device has rebooted it does not have root access (I checked through Root Checker and Terminal Emulator). I am honestly stumped and have no idea what I am doing wrong. This phone previously belonged to a friend of mine who restored it to factory settings, but had the Superuser app when I got it. Am I correct assume that it was previously rooted?
Phone Details:
Model Number: GT-S5830
Android Version: 2.3.6
Baseband Version: S5830XWKT3
Kernel Version: 2.3.65.7-perf-CL787041root@DELL86 #1
Build Number: GINGERBREAD.XWKT7
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
