Help My Droid Charge froze while upgrading

Hello,

I received an update notice yesterday morning (I remember it was about an update to a newer version of Android or something). It said it may take 7-8 minutes, and I touched the upgrade button. Ever since, my phone has completely frozen. It's stuck at the Samsung logo screen and doesn't start at all. Anyone has the same problem? Any advice would be really appreciated!

Thanks so much! I haven't noticed the thread regarding the new upgrade. Having read the thread, I guess my only option is to bring my phone to the nearest Verizon store and ask them to reset my phone. :(

Same thing happened to my phone; it was stuck on the droid boot up screen. I was looking for anyway possible to fix the problem, rather than waste half a day at Verizon. I actually learned that if you power on holding: power, volume up, and the home button at the same time..then soon as you see SAMSUNG, release buttons...it will bring you to a safe mode menu. From there I chose wipe and restore, since I had everything backed up with google. Once it restore, it started up with the GB update installed. I just have to re-install the apps from the Android Market. The phone works smoothly and maybe its just me, but the battery life seems to be lasting a lot longer. Could be coincidence!

Hope this helps!

Same thing happened to me! It sucks because I had to reset back to the factory phone which LOST all apps and where I was with each of them! Grrrrr!

I did the update and my battery life is being drained like crazy. Also, the phone freezes and my text messages say fail when they actually happens. This stinks. I wish I wouldn't have updated my phone.
