my droid2 need a battery

verizon sent me a replacemen phone, but with no new battery. when i put the old battery in i get a battery picture with a question mark.
i have searched several stores for a replacement and the only one i found is not a motorola, so the phone came on but the battery showed up with the question mark. i received a message that stated i need an official motorola battery. will the replacement charge it is hard finding a battery unless i order it online

Welcome to Android Forums! I never encountered that problem with any of my phones so I'm thinking you'll have to get it online or thru the verizon store. Maybe someone else can chime in with a better solution.

Have you tried contacting Verizon to ask for a replacement?
