Help My DX won't power off

So for some time now, before the latest update and since (2.3.340), when I hold the Power Button, select to Power Off, it doesn't. It just reboots. It's not the end of the world, as that's usually what I was planning to do anyway, but how do I just turn the phone off if I want to without doing a battery pull???

Have you done a battery pull to see if that corrects it? Also might do a cache wipe.

Thanks, but a battery pull does nothing. Which cache? The entire phone? I'm not sure how to do that or if it will help. I was looking to see if anyone else saw this issue and if/how they fixed it.

If you are rooted you can download Cache cleaner for free. It will clean it all. I don't think that"s going to help though.

Not rooted at the moment. I don't think it will either. So weird.
