Okay, I just got my first android phone (verizon salesmen were awesome btw). I got the Motorola Devour, and barely knowing anything about it, it's amazing. I got this because the droid was too pricey at the moment, and this was still an android. Anyway, good choice on the phone? The first thing I noticed was the battery. I had the phone in my pocket idle all day, opened maybe 3 times, and by 6th period the battery was dead. (9 period in a day, btw.) I go to the store, and they explain blah blah blah. The stretched Advanced Task Killer to do with battery a little to far, so I want to know, every time I open/close the phone, running ATK, will this make my battery last longer or worse. Some topics say it works, and should always be used, other says it drains your battery more than saves.
Now, some people mention task manager or systempanel or something. What does it do, and will it help with my battery. Really, I want to know how to get the most out of one charge. Six hours is insane. I wouldn't be able to get through a day, let alone a weekend where I'm listening to music (I was HOPING this can replace my ipod, is there a music thing on ADM that uses less battery?) texting/calling, and playing games, it's a joke.
I also have ONE MORE problem. But it happens sort of rare. My screen would go black, I try pressing button, power, return, home, but it stays black then reboots.
Another thing I wanted to know what is a good application that will shower me my battery % on a widget, vizbattery or something I tried only shows %10 percents. I want something that shows all percents, so I can track the battery usage better. And anyone know how I can easily see how long a single charge lasts me?
I'm sorry I'm eating up the forum, but I'm really new to droid and google isn't getting my nowhere. If I posted this in the wrong section, forgive me, I again am new to these forums. -MutatedGamer
