Help My Galaxy FIT does not detect my touch

My Galaxy FIT does not detect my touch on lock screen so not able to unlock the phone most often.
after restarting again and again also it does not works, stuck on the lock screen.
then suddenly it starts detecting touch and runs flawlessly.and after sometime same problem comes,it stuck on lock screen and dont detect touch for hours and days.

its very annoyyiiiiiiinggg pls helppppppppp????????

i have done factory reset 3-4 times. then it started running flawless then after sometime same problem started.phone works all the function like playing music (music player started through headphone),receiving calls/sms,syncing to gmail,twitter and i am able to see GTalk pings on status bar but not able to unlock as its touchscreen not responding.

what you people thinks is the issue with software OR hardware????

i had given it to samsung service center ,they replaced the touchscreen and now its working smoothly...
