My heart felt goodbyes!!! :'(

Well I will be trading my Hero in tomorrow at C Spire for a Sony Ericsson Xperia Play! Yeah I know that it is an older phone (new phone for C Spire since we get all the other carriers outdated phones) but for the past few months I have been having horrendous battery life out of my Hero! Everyone I talk to says the Xperia Play has wonderful battery life even after playing games on it all day! Plus right now I can trade in my Hero and not have to pay my replacement fee and the Xperia Play is $70 when I sign a new contract and I get a $50 mail in rebate! I WILL ONLY BE PAYING $20 FOR THIS AWESOME PHONE!!!! Don't get me wrong I will miss my lil Hero! It was my first Android and touch screen! I remember about a month after I got it I was searching the web trying to find out new things about it and I keep seeing ROOTING, rooting, RoOtInG!!! I looked it up and it lead me to here first! I learned all about rooting and then I said to myself, "I can do that!". So I followed all the steps and before I knew it, I WAS ROOTED!!! Then I learn about flashing other ROMS, which lead me to XDA! That is when I became a FLASHWHORE!!! LOL! I drove my hubby crazy til he finally let me root his Hero! He moved on to the Desire and I bugged him til he let me root it as well! I have had good times with my lil Hero and took it farther then I was supposed to go! I would not give up my lil Hero so easily if it was not for this battery life and now it is freezing really bad! I have tried everything I know to do and all y'all have tried to help me with but nothing seems to work! It was finally settled as a hardware problem! It will be hard to hand over my Hero, we had a good thing going, but maybe me and the Xperia Play can strike up a good flame together! I sure hope! I want to thank every last one of y'all that helped me through this unforgettable journey in my life! I will never forget all the kindness and determination you gave to me! THANKS!!! See ya in the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play forums! I will be rooted and running a custom ROM in no time! Ha!

R.I.P My lil Hero!!! :"(

I totally respect your decision for moving to a newer handset, especially given the small price point to upgrade. The hardware in the Sprint HTC Hero is considered first generation Android in specification, so a bump in CPU speed, RAM capacity, and other aspects will be nice.

I think you will be able to continue your rooting and flashing routine with your new handset. That one is also great for playing all kinds of games, so I hope you enjoy it.

Well there always comes a time when we all have to move on and we understand, as you can see we have also moved on the EVO 3D so we hope you enjoy your Sony as much as you did your Hero, enjoy and good luck
