when i bought my htc g1 it was workin great 
bt a few days backs its charger pin broke so i bought a new charger (not orinal of htc) and after somedays it was not chargin at all no matter how much time i place it on chargin it do not charge .
it works fine while on charge but as soon as we pu off the charger the phone goes black
i also used dextop charger bt still no use
