omg are you freaking serious dude???? I honestly thought you were trying to help
This is the funniest #$%^ I read in a while here.
Anyways, word of advice to you. DO NOT take the phone to a regular little Metro PCS store, go elsewhere and look for a "corporate" store, or however they call them.
Regular small Metro PCS are the @#$%iest, most helpless, egoistical things on the planet.
Here's a story:
Bought an LG Esteem way back in the day when they became available, first time to Metro (didn't do much research). Was told about a 7 day money back at the little store, but NOT about the 1 hour usage limit.
The phone overheated too much for whatever reason during test calls, so I wanted my money back. Nope, 1 hour call limit over, so no.
Alright, give me another phone... nope, they said they couldn't because I refused to pay 5$ more for insurance. F that.
Someone told me about "corporate" Metro Stores, so I go there, after an hour in line I see this old lady trying to explain that she had been paying that extra 5 bucks for years, but they wouldn't want to repair her old, really old, smartphone (Samsung Code), because she got it in water.
I got a little pissed at that, but I told the truth, and still they didn't want to exchange my phone for whatever reason I don't remember, even though the phone had a 1 year warranty under LG (or Metro?).
So I was told about another corporate store a little far, but when I went there, they took the phone with almost no questions, and exchanged it right there and then for a refurbished one.
I also learned from a guy there about the *228 number to activate, or transfer my line to my older phone by myself, without paying Metro 10/15$ bucks to do it themselves, and also the extra tax charges they charge you that you don't pay if you buy the phones online.
F Metro, literally, if you can, do it, or else they will F you themselves.
