Help My live wallpaper keeps crashing

I just recently started using nova launcher, and then started playing around with live wallpapers. I settled with 3d parallax, but it constantly crashes, leaving me with a black background. And sometimes when I try to reset it, it says something like wallpaper picker has failed. Is this a problem with parallax or with nova? I've never used anything but the stock Android launcher, so I don't know what kind of bugs to expect...

You could be running out of memory. The system uses about 650MB, and Nova isn't exactly lightweight.

I have sine abandoned nova and started using apex, and it is doing a lot better

This phone does a horrible job of managing memory. I recommend not using live wallpaper.

I never use live wallpapers simply because it's an unnecessary waste of resources in general. I mean, how long are you ever really on the homescreen anyway? I usually completely remove live wallpaper functionality.
