my magazine and home key function?

Is there a way to alter the homekey function, and remove this "my magazine" crap?

Its by far one of the most annoying features on this phone, and constantly pops up

If you use a launcher it disappears.

You have to go into the actual My Magazine app to disable it from popping up when you hit the home key. Rather odd until you realize that they're trying to force you to look at it at least once. Which then just makes you want root more. And of course the app is not allowed to be disabled in the apps manager.

Now my home key is just a home key. I still use the long press for the task manager though.
