Welcome to Android Forums.
Try this:
Turn off router and unplug from power.
On phone go to menu/settings/wireless and networks/wireless settings. Delete/forget network you tried to sign into. Turn phone off.
Wait 5 minutes.
Turn router on and wait for it to fully reboot .
Turn phone on and after it fully boots up, sign into your network.
