This has happened twice in the last week in the middle of the night. Both times I had completely charged it and turned it off before I went to bed. The weird thing is that both times a Facebook text woke me up. I keep forgetting to turn than damn feature off lol.

This issue has been resolved, I got another Centura and so far it hasn't happened. I think It may have been water/alcohol damage from using too much trying to put screen protectors on it. For the whole story and more see the last post in this thread.

I filed a warranty claim on my first Centura because of this, but I thought that it was because I went overboard on trying to use the wet application method with screen protectors. However, I've never done that to my new Centura but it came on by itself at 5am. The only reason I know is because an email notification woke me up. I am absolutely sure It was off because I seen the large battery charging icon when I plugged it in. I guess I'm going to start putting into airplane mode from now on so if it does come on at least it won't wake me up lol.

I don't think so because I usually plug it in every night before bed and it's always 100% in the morning but it's still off.

Well it happened again this morning at 4:47am. I'm a night owl so I went to bed at 4:30am and right when I was starting to fall asleep I heard it come on. It wasn't even plugged in because I still had 75% battery remaining and I knew I would be off work today.

I've googled the problem and it seems to be fairly widespread over a wide variety of devices over the years from Gingerbread to ICS. I really don't have that many apps installed but I still don't want to do a factory reset and reinstall one at a time, which seems to be the recommended way to troubleshoot the problem. I've got to remember to put it on silent and airplane mode every night lol. As long as it doesn't turn itself OFF, I can live with it.

Sounds to me like you've got one of those NSA hacked phones where the Government has taken control of your phone's camera and microphone and they're spying on you! :smokingsomb:

You have probably had this cross your mind, but a factory reset may possibly fix the problem. Of course that would entail a lot of backing up and restoring and then you have the chance of it not helping the problem at all. Just depends how annoying it gets lol.

Yeah I had thought of that, and it wouldn't be too bad since I make weekly backups but I think I'll leave it alone for now. My luck it wouldn't help anyways lol. It hasn't happened again and as long as it's on silent and airplane it won't wake me up. If it starts happening all the time, I'll try it though.
