My phone downloads apps that I do not want

My s3 is downloading apps that I do want after I delete them. Candy Crush, Mario Brothers, "free apps", etc. How do I stop this?

Does someone have access to your google play account? Maybe change the password on your gmail. Otherwise you will need to check the applications that are running to see if you find one that you do not recognize which may be the cause. Settings - application manager - swipe over to running . you should see widgets, system apps and currently cashed programs are in memory but not currently running. This can help identify if its an app that's causing this.

I changed the password. An old thunderbolt was recently stolen and I got my s3 last week. If it keeps happening, I will test the other options.

If you report that phone to verizon as stolen, the phone will not be activated on the verizon network. Course didn't help when my wife had her Thunderbolt stolen a while back. Just made us change passwords for everything.

i doubt its anything to do with the tbolt.
Is the phone just downloading these apps or actually installing them? That should never happen.
How do you know these apps are installing? For example are you getting random icons appear on the homescreen?

Yeah run Lookout Ad Network Detector.
Id bet its a free app youve installed thats spamming you

If your Google login was still active when the thunderbolt was stolen they could be going to the play store in a browser and installing apps to your phone. Also reading your emails :P

He changed his google password i think so thats cool. Also why would the person on the thunderbolt choose to download to the s3? :)

I'd never heard of this until recently, but this is at least the third thread I've seen like this now. Are you getting one new app every night?

Gmash all i can think of is that its an app using that ad network who put icons (which look like new apps) on your homescreen that are actually web shortcuts mate

Check out the first review bro. Leave a bad review and uninstall it ;)

It passed itself off as legit. I guess I should have done some thorough research. Where is the proper hotmail app? It wasnt in google play as it usually is. Weird.
