Help My phone downloads pics I didn't take to my PC

When I download my pictures to my PC there are tons of cartoon pics as well as pictures I didn't even take. Happens every time and is super annoying as I have to go in and delete hundreds of them
 
If you have a file manager on your phone you should check and see if those unwanted pics are there prior to your dnld to your PC. Perhaps these phantom pics are from your browsing history... just a thought.
 
You'd be surprised how many phantom pics you can acquire via apps/widgets.

I Know GO Weather EX was the culprit behind a folder of unwanted pictures on my phone.
 
I still can't figure out where they are coming from. Went through my files looking but no luck.
I'm using the stock Windows 7 picture gallery thing when downloading to my PC. This is super annoying cause all the nonsense pics mix with the actual ones I've taken so deleting them is a headache

Any chance those picture might have come a neighbouring source. Go to your S3's Gallery, uncheck "Scan for nearby devices" see if that helps.
