My phone developed a problem, so I'm temporarily using my wife's old phone while I'm working on fixing mine. It's a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant (T-Mobile) with CyanogenMod 10.1.3 (Android 4.2.2) on it. I did a factory reset yesterday morning and installed a few of my necessary apps and everything was fine.
Here's the problem: sometime early afternoon, it automatically updated Google text-to-speech, and now it has started announcing the time at random intervals. First, it was at 3:00, then 3:30 then again at 3:35. It happened a few more times before I got home from work, then a few times in the evening. It woke me up a couple of times during the night as well. I uninstalled the text-to-speech update, and that changed the voice from a female to a male voice, but it didn't stop. I can't find any settings anywhere that would explain it, nor can I find anything online about it. When I look, all my search results relate to the phone announcing callers and/or text messages, but my phone isn't doing that, only the time.
How do I make it stop?
