Root My RAZR does some weird stuff.

Love the phone overall. But it does a few things that are REALLY ANNOYING!!!!

1st.
The biggest is failing to dial.. Phone has full signal, and it just sits there saying "Connecting" And never places the call. Sometimes it has to be rebooted, sometimes going in and out of airplane mode works. and sometimes it will eventually just do it.
The locations are places I regularly used my Original Droid with no problems.

Sometimes the phone will fail to rotate the screen when you rotate the phone. regardless of the app your in. A reboot is usually needed to fix this.

The buttons at the bottom don't light when the screen comes on, only if it is dark enough out... I know it's supposed to do this, but it is very very annoying. The light level to trigger the button lights is WAY off. And often in shaded areas, you cant see the buttons. Whoever decided this was a good way to do it was crazy. Just have the lights come one when the screen is on... simple. Is there a fix for this?

Thanks
Ken

You put this in the All Things Root section, is the phone rooted? Running a custom ROM?
If you're on a custom ROM you Right consider trying a different one.
If it's still stock then it might be time for the dreaded factory reset to see if that solves the problem. If it doesn't then a call to customer service is likely in order - where the first thing they will do is have you do a factory reset.
Personally I've never had a problem with either of your first issues. And as you said, '3' is working as designed.

DAMM... sorry about that. I was looking around in the Root section.. and then though about my questions. Forgot to go back out to the main section before posting..

Phone is stock.. nothing done.
I doubt the reset will fix it.. It did it from 1st day.

I may root and try a custom ROM as a way to fix it though. I had my Original Droid Rooted, tried all kinds of stuff. Some were great some not.

Thanks for the suggestions though.

If you've been having those issues since day one, then you likely have a faulty device and need a CLN replacement. Rooting and running a custom ROM likely won't fix the issues.
