Help My replacement phone is better but is it different?

I've had my replacement for almost a week and (knock on wood) no more weirdness.
But you know I look at the front of it and it looks different where the proximity sensor is. There was some discussion on the "missing" forward facing camera and the sensor a while back. I look at this new phone and there are three things there. I flat out do not remember there being three "dots" there. This one has two dots about the same size maybe an eighth of an apart, then a third smaller one on the right even closer. I had to use a magnifying glass to be sure of the right smaller one, it's almost imperceptible.
Am I crazy or was there only one thing there on my old phone?

I had mine since the phone was released. I have the three sensors that you just mentioned.
 
I have 3 as well. I'm not sure which is which but the phone is supposed to sense light for the keyboard and screen as well as sense your face up close to the screen. So maybe it needs 3 sensors to do all of that?
 
Well, to add insult to injury, I have FOUR different "things" on the top left of the phone. First there's the three holes with somewhat of a blueish tint to them, then about 5mm below and to the right, there's a pin sized hole there. I had always thought the pin size hole was the light sensor, but if it isn't, what does it do?

I don't see the forth.........:confused:
 
The fourth one's really small. You need to look one cm below the big one to the very left, and about half a mm to the left of that. I only noticed mine because of it's reaction with my screen protector...
 
My screen is quite clean, thank you! :p

Anyways, here's a pic to help. (bear with me please, image quality is not the best, but this is taken from my samsung caliber...)

Yes there is definately something there. I can tell you that there is NOT anything there on mine. Maybe you got a bonus frt facing camera!
Very interesting indeed. I wonder what it is?
edit...I know you're sure there's something there but could it possibly be something under the screen protector? I know I'm grasping at straws...
 
Nothing under the screen protector. Checked, tested, probed, pointed, probed... Yeah, it's a hole there.

Also, the screen protector was placed even before powering on the phone, while still at the store!
 
I'm laughing because everytime I see this post ,
I look again. Nope....still not there ha ha.
I'm kind of ticked offf that I didn't get one. It's just not fair.
