My rooted android is laggy

In the past month or two my phone has become very laggy. Its a sprint galaxy nexus running android jellybean (cyanogenmod) . I don't know why its so laggy. It was fine on jellybean before. My phone use to be quick and snappy but now it laggs on almost everything, and can barely open a website. The multitasking is useless because it will not open the app where I left off, it will re open it. I tried wiping my cache, deleting old apps, etc. Nothings helping. I am running franco kernel also. It didn't really seem to happen all of the sudden but its become laggy and I can't stand it anymore. This is a nexus phone it should run smooth. Why is it doing this and what can I do to fix it?

I am overclocked but only 100mhz and I tried lowering it or putting it at stock and it doesnt help. I don't have a launcher.
