Help My S4 will not turn on

My s4 (with Verizon) was acting strange. Apps kept crashing and one day the phone simply turned off. I turned it back on. It loaded the the galaxy logo and then it went to the verizon logo and that is it. It would stay on that page and will not load further.

I tried volume up/power/home button and did a factory reset through that but the same thing happens. It just goes back to that verizon home page.

I have a warranty so I could ship it in and get a new phone but the only problem is that I am overseas and for some reason Switzerland will not let me ship my phone with the lithium battery. So if anyone has any ideas....thanks.

I seem to recall that, whenever I was returning phones to Verizon (Droid Bionics, but still) they told me to pull the battery -- all they wanted was the phone.

In other words, are you sure you need to send the battery back to get the new phone?

You need to send just the phone back you keep the battery and backplate . if you get the phone back they would just let you to return the battery if it was to turn that way .
