My Samsung Ace sends multiple emails

Hi
My first post - and I can't find any similar problem to this on the forum.
When I send an email through my Sansung Ace it sends multiple copies, sometimes as many as 20, which all then appear in my Sent folder.
Anyone know what is happening and how I can prevent it?
